The majority of the oils we currently produce are from Eucalyptus kochii (pronounced “koh-chee-eye”) and Eucalyptus loxophleba lissophloia (Lox Liss), oil mallee trees which are both found only in the semi-arid interior of Western Australia, where they grow in the ancient and fragile landscape known for its unique and delicate flora, huge dry salt lakes and billion-year old granite monoliths.
Old growth trees in their natural habitat are not harvested. We only harvest trees planted on farms in conjunction with traditional agriculture.
Not only do we produce the highest quality Australian eucalyptus oils but we produce them in volumes that meet the growing demands of the global essential oil industry. Direct from our distillery at Kalannie in the West Australian wheatbelt we supply our oil in bulk containers sized to meet the needs of most businesses.
As our production continues to increase our bulk and wholesale sales are expanding across Australia and the world.
Bulk Kochii Eucalyptus Oil is available in 1 litre, 2.5 litre, 5 litre, 20 litre, 204 litre drums and 1,000 litre Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBC’s)
We have a number of different options and wholesale packages available if you are interested in selling Kochii eucalyptus oils
Our trees are grown naturally in shelterbelts across farmlands helping to reduce; salinity, wind erosion and drawing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. The unique feature of this species of eucalypt is that it will re-grow (“coppice”) to a harvestable size every two to three years. This provides a sustainable supply of trees on a rotational basis.
We have developed unique harvesters that will remove the foliage but not damage the trees. This means the trees will re-grow within two to three years and be ready to harvest again whilst continuing to provide shelter belts, reduce salinity and improve the environment.
The oil is extracted through the traditional process of steam-distillation powered by burning waste leaf from previous extractions. The water used in the process for steaming and for cooling is continually recycled through the production process.
Through the distilling process the oil is collected, filtered and put directly into containers before begin bottled. There is nothing at all added to the oil. It remains the pure and natural eucalyptus oil extracted directly from the leaves of the oil mallees.
All of our oil is traceable to the farm from which it was harvested and in most cases to the paddock or field of origin.
