Kochii Oil’s purity and excellent quality comes down to the process of extracting the oil from leaf to bottle.
Our process has been years in the making with the initial trial commencing in 1990 with our core focus being to maintain Kochii’s purity by extracting oil as naturally as possible.
Our team travelled all over the world to work alongside a specialist engineer to custom design and build a harvester suitable for our Kochii trees. The one of a kind harvester collects kochii foliage with minimal impact to the tree allowing maximum regrowth potential, in fact harvesting the trees that have “regrown” provides the highest ratio of leaves allowing for a successful yield.
Our oil is extracted using the age-old steam distillation process. Water used for steaming and cooling is recycled continually through the production process. The spent biomass is processed through a newly commissioned Pyrolysis Plant producing biochar and wood vinegar. Nothing is wasted in the production process.
Once the oil is extracted, it’s packed into drums for wholesale orders and glass bottles for retail orders.
The processes simplicity and efficiency allows for traceability of each batch of oil. We can identify the site and the paddock from which each batch of oil is produced.
