This month we thought we would explore the uses for Kochii outside your home, in its natural environment, the great outdoors! We’ve penned together a number of blogs on cleaning and household uses for Kochii because honestly there are plenty! This month we want to focus on how Kochii can be used outdoors, bracing the elements and accompanying you on all your summertime adventures.
Kochii is natural insect repellent which makes it an essential carry along for outdoor trips in the warmer months. Apply Kochii to outdoor surfaces to ward off flies and mozzies, use a carrier oil to rub into your skin to repel them from body, use on your towels, picnic rugs etc to act as a natural repellent. Our Kochii candle can also be used outdoors on a picnic table or space to detract Mozzies.
Spring and summer are full of creepy crawlies, it doesn’t end with flies and mozzies! If you’re planning on going hiking, use Kochii oil to prevent ticks. While you’re at it, take a big inhale of Kochii on your hiking adventure to keep you energized and oxygenated. Add a few drops of Kochii oil to kids hats to prevent lice and stop flies around their face. Kochii is naturally a low toxic substance, making it safe for children.
Out in the garden or bush and getting your hands dirty? Use Kochii as a natural disinfectant to keep you clean, we strongly recommend grabbing a pack of our Kochii travel soaps to stash in your bag during the festive season.
Use Kochii in the shed for removing glue or gum, cleaning paint brushes, gardening tools and surfaces.
Last but not least use Kochii to protect your plants! Mix 5ml Kochii oil, 20ml coconut or canola oil and 2ml of detergent with 1L of water in a spray bottles and spray on plants to repel pests such as aphids. Kochii is safe for plants and chemical free making it a perfect option for your garden.
