This month we thought we would run through some of the ways to store and care for your Kochii oil to keep it safe and ensure longevity and effectiveness.

Traditionally premium eucalyptus oil brands are stored in either amber or dark blue bottles, the bottles should always be made of glass. Transparent glass bottles allow for unfiltered light to spoil the oil. One of the many attributes of Kochii oil is its effectiveness as a solvent, meaning only specialized plastic bottles can be used to hold our oil. Glass is not only better for the planet it is better for our oil.

Kochii oil is packaged in a glass amber bottle, ensuring maximum protection from UV and light. As Kochii oil is high in cineole and completely natural, it should be stored in a cool and dark environment to preserve its potency.

Kochii eucalyptus oil has an average shelf life of 2 years, however if stored correctly it will last much longer.

The two most damaging elements for eucalyptus oil are light and air so be sure to keep your Kochii bottles sealed tight. This goes with natural cleaning products or solutions made with Kochii, make sure they are stored in an airtight container and kept in a dark cool place to protect them from the elements and enhance efficiency.

We may not be traveling as frequently as we would like however as our national borders open, we are seeing more and more domestic travel.  We recommend stocking up on our smaller sized bottles (15ml) for travel, they are packaged correctly to keep the oil protected, are light in weight and convenient in size meaning they can be stored in a bag easily and popped in a cupboard safely wherever you end up. Kochii oil is pure and robust, the trees from which it is distilled withstand the harshest of environments so by nature our oil is made to last.
