One of the most common uses for eucalyptus oil is cleaning. The active ingredient to look for when using eucalyptus oil is cineole. The higher the cineole concentrate, the more efficient the cleaner. It’s important to look for products that contain over 70% cineole concentrate. Kochii contains between 90%-95% cineole. Sadly, although Eucalypts are an Australian tree, only 5% of eucalyptus production happens within Australia. Currently China produces the majority of the worlds supply. Conversely, Kochii is 100% grown and produced in Australia (Western Australia to be precise).   

Here are some of the key benefits of using Kochii for cleaning; 

• Non toxic for our drains, waterways, sinks, toilets,  
• Proven disinfectant, antiseptic, antibacterial, antiviral  properites, disinfectant, expectorant , 

• Environmentally friendly cleaner,  
• Highly suitable for people with allergies and asthma,  
• Has a long shelf life,  
• Mixes well with other products to enhance cleaning properties.  
• Has a wonderful scent that brings the outdoors into your home or office 

Unsure of where to start with Kochii? Here’s a list of ways to clean using our oil; 

• Make your own miracle spray and use it as a multiple purpose cleaner (find the recipe here), 
• Make a disinfectant for floors/ toilets, use 1 litre of water with 50mls of eucalyptus oil, mix and store as you would a normal disinfectant cleaner,  

• Use straight Kochii oil to remove adhesive or gum, 
• Add a tsp of Kochii to your washing for ani-microbial benefits 
• Use kochii to clean stainless steal,  
• Kochii can be used as a toilet cleaner, floor cleaner, bathroom cleaner, bench top cleaner,  
• Use in your vacuum filter (couple of drops), 

• Wipe Kochii throughout draws and cupboards to prevent and remove moths and silverfish,  
• Use Kochii oil to disinfect children’s toys (a little oil in warm water),  
• Use as a stain remover on fabric/ carpet (see miracle spray) always spot test first.  

Whatever the use you will be left with the natural scent of the Australian bush in your home.
